This giraffe sticks its neck out in style.
from the magazine, Creative Kids

A kneesock creates the long neck, and felt forms the trademark spotsand mane.

What You Need:
Scissors
Socks
Sewing machine
Batting
Black felt
Black buttons

Instructions:

1. Cut lollipop-shape horns, oval ears, and eyelid shapes from the matching sock. (Our partner sock had stripes on the cuff, which we incorporated into the eyelids for flirty lashes.)

2. Stuff the horns with batting; stitch closed and cover the tips with black felt. Sew the horns and ears in place.

3. Use the eyelid sock pieces, white felt circles, and black buttons to create the eyes.
