This time it is with Michelle Obama and the shorts that she choose to wear during a recent visit to the Grand Canyon on a vacation visit with her daughters during August. Grand Canyon August average temperature is 83 degrees.
The shorts, pictured above, are mid thigh length and appropriate for walking/hiking in the desert.

What is the controversy with Michelle Obama's shorts?
According to the Business Week article, the Today show, "some" are calling her fashion choice inappropriate—but the article quotes only those who support the look or, in the case of Washington Post fashion writer Robin Gihven, those who are "ambivalent" about bare legs for an August hiking trip in Arizona". They could not find anybody who actual said they were upset with the length of the shorts but sited the usual suspects as commenting on this, the Examiner, Huffington Post and LaTimes blog. Do any of these ring a bell? They should! All of these same publications wrote about Noah Cyrus and her alleged Pole dancing routine at the 2009 Teen Choice Pre-party. These articles started a national debate as to the parenting merits of the Cyrus's, morality of adults in attendance and behavior of this little girl(s) Noah Cyrus and friends. There is no wonder that most creative fashion purist come from other Europe. But we here at ThreePeasCo will continue to create and pursue clothes that allow for our kids and yours to enjoy themselves and feel proud to not look like every other kid. Let's help our kids learn early on to feel comfortable in expressing who they are and to not have issues (yes, I said issues) about their appearance.
