Federal Trade Commission new Guidelines

Three Peas Co. Lifestyle is a combination of urban chic with todays modern child in mind. Every little girl boy and women deserve boutique quality handmade items.

The Federal Trade Commission just announced their new guidelines for "Product Endorsements". These guidelines will have an immediate impact on advertisers, marketing agencies and individual endorsers like celebrities and mom bloggers. Why, because they truth must be told about what type of payment, if any was received and what product was given free to the reviewer or endorser.

The new Rules will go into effect December 1, 2009. The press release and link to the report can be found here . The effect on "mom bloggers" and "word of mouth agencies" will be played on during talk shows and on social networks because they are obligated to disclose their affiliation with the advertiser. Comments from Joe Chernov, VP of Communications and Marketing for Word of Mouth agency BzzAgent said that he supported the new guidelines and felt that the guidelines clearly establish what's right and what's wrong.

We at WCNGroup, home of SkitterToys and ThreePeasCo welcome these guidelines and follow closely with our guiding principles of business -Honest, Authentic and High Quality Products. We will encourage any Celebrity and/or Blogger to disclose if they received our products for free. The days of being told what to say and how to say it are gone and the new era of authenticity is here!
